The Environmental Health Sciences major stresses the application of basic scientific principles to environmental and occupational health issues as well as providing an understanding of the regulatory, legal, and policy aspects needed to address contemporary environmental and occupational health concerns.
The M.P.H. degree is a minimum of 42 credits and the M.S. program requires a minimum of 30 credits and normally take two years to complete. The Ph.D. program is oriented for those who want a career in research and academics and includes a 24 credit dissertation requirement.
Additional required and elective courses are determined by area of study within the Environmental Health major. Students may elect a general program in environmental and occupational health, or focus in one of the following specialty areas:

Molecular Basis of Risk Assessment
Provides transdisciplinary training in exposure, modern toxicology, epidemiology, and environmental policy that is required to develop sound health risk assessment approaches.
