Highlights and Photos from the April 2008 Get Your Rear in Gear 5k Walk/Run

The Division of Environmental Health Sciences was pleased to sponsor a team for the fourth time to participate in the 4th Annual Colon Cancer Coalition's “Get Your Rear in Gear” 5K walk/run. The event took place on Sunday, April 13th, 2008 at Southdale Shopping Center, Edina, Minnesota.

35 EnHS 'Team Polyp Patrol' members joined thousands of other walk/run participants to make a difference in the fight against colon cancer. Through registration fees and donations, EnHS contributed over $1,000 to help raise awareness of this disease and other colorectal disorders.

Special thanks to Bill Toscano and Tim Church for providing the embroidered team hats and prizes for the drawing. And thank you to our team organizers: Debb Grove, Michelle Mansfield, Elaine McCauley, Frank Stahan, and Diane Kampa for pulling it all together.
