Chiba University Visit

Representatives from the School of Public Health and Chiba University

(November 2, 2009) A group of students and faculty from Chiba University visited the School of Public Health last week. Their recent visit highlights the ongoing collaboration between representives of SPH and the Japanese university, who are working together to establish a Masters of Public Health program in Chiba.

The group's stay also included a tour of the UMore Park site, the University of Minnesota's long-term sustainable community project. Dr. Chisato Mori and Dr. Emiko Todaka are currently leading the development of "Chemiless Town" -- a planned city in Chiba that shares many of the same environmental goals as the UMore site. (read more about "Chemiless Town" here).
