EnHS faculty and students participated in several sessions at the American Public Health Association’s 136th Annual Meeting and Exposition in San Diego, California, October 25–29, 2008. (see full presentation list)
Three members of the Division were also given special recognition at the event, receiving the following awards for public health scholarship and service:
Special Service Award - Nancy Nachreiner
Nancy Nachreiner, EnHS Professor, received a Special Service Award for Dedication and Outstanding Service to the Injury Control and Emergency Health Services (ICEHS) Section. Nancy has been Membership Chair for the ICEHS for the past 4 years.
Student Paper Competition Awards - Starr Sage and Quintin Williams
Starr Sage, a recent EnHS doctoral graduate and currently a Research Fellow at the University of Minnesota and Quintin Williams, also a recent EnHS doctoral graduate and currently a Research Fellow at the University of Illinois – Chicago were co-winners of the ICEHS APHA 2008 Student Paper Competition.
